These traditional Wooden sea vehicles (AKA Lenj) are neither a boat nor a ship, they are simply something in between. For hundreds if not thousands of years merchants embarked on their journey to far-off lands with these Giants. In addition to that, sailors also used them to fish & store sea products until they returned to their wharfs.
Similar to many Iranian crafts, this long-lasting craft had been associated and interwoven with deep cultural traditions which give these semi-ark vehicles a soul that acts as a refuge to locals while on water.
I've been told by the locals that on the last day of a Lenj's life, the captain solely rides it through waterfront so that it could rust in peace on a static surface.
The journey starts & ends on soil
